Visite de Felipe Shibuya, artiste et biologiste brésilien

🇫🇷 🇧🇷 Dans le cadre de sa résidence de recherche au jardin d’agronomie tropicale pour l’année du Brésil, nous sommes ravis d’accueillir Felipe Leonardo Santos Shibuya , artiste brésilien et biologiste de formation. Il prépare son exposition dont le vernissage aura lieu le 14 juin à partir de 20h.

Felipe Shibuya mène une recherche à la frontière des sciences naturelles, s’intéressant aux pigments et aux structures invisibles du monde végétal. Sa démarche rend hommage à la biodiversité tout en dévoilant la richesse sensorielle et la complexité formelle du vivant.

Guidé par les jardiniers et les équipes de l’École, il a pu s’immerger dans le jardin et nourrir sa recherche de toutes les méthodes de transmission du savoir et des savoirs-faire dans le domaine du végétal.

Les œuvres qu’il présentera au pavillon d’Indochine et dans la pagode mettent en regard l’extraction des organismes vivants de leur milieu d’origine et l’immigration.

Visit of Felipe Shibuya, brazilian artist et biologist

As part of his research residency at the Jardin d’Agronomie Tropicale for the Year of Brazil, we are delighted to welcome @Felipe Leonardo Santos Shibuya , a Brazilian artist and biologist by training. He is preparing his exhibition, which will open on June 14 at 8pm.

Felipe Shibuya conducts research at the frontier of the natural sciences, focusing on the pigments and invisible structures of the plant world. His approach pays tribute to biodiversity, while revealing the sensory richness and formal complexity of living things.

Guided by the École’s gardeners and staff, he was able to immerse himself in the garden and feed his research with all the methods of transmitting knowledge and know-how in the field of plants.

The works he will be presenting in the Indochina Pavilion and the Pagoda contrast the extraction of living organisms from their native environment with immigration.
